Teknaf, Bangladesh: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested and pushed back 11-Rohingya to Burma on June 2, Hashim, a local from border said. “They were arrested from the border point of Teknaf area in Cox’s Bazar district on June 2, night at about 10:00 pm by BGB after being conducted operations.”
A BGB team of Teknaf Battalion No. 42 conducted a drive in border areas and arrested 11 Rohingyas who came to Bangladesh after crossing the border by row boat, according to BGB official.
“BGB pushed back them again to Burma through the point of Naitaung Para on June 3, morning.”
According to different sources, Rohingyas are crossing Burma-Bangladesh border every day for life security, human rights abuses and discrimination in Arakan State, Burma.
Since occurred sectarian violence between Rakhines and Rohingya since last year June, thousands of Rohingya are trying to cross Burma-Bangladesh to take shelter in Bangladesh for their lives security but, the government of Bangladesh has been not allowing the Rohingya to enter the Bangladesh since yet, sources said.
