Abducted Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officer Abdul Razzak was handed over to a team, led by 42 BGB Battalion Commanding Officer Lt Col Abu Jar Al Zahid on June 25, at about 5;30 pm, after a five-hour-long flag meeting between the two neighboring countries –Burma and Bangladesh- forces in Maungdaw, Arakan State, Burma, according to BGB Cox’s Bazar Sector Deputy Commander Major Aminul Islam press briefing.

BGP and BGB flag meet likely tomorrow

Teknaf, Bangladesh: The Border Guard Police (BGP) of Burma and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) are likely to sit  a flag meeting tomorrow over return of BGB soldier Abdur Razzak, abducted by BGP troops from Naf River in Teknaf on June 17, according to BGB Director General (DG) Maj General Azaiz Ahmed.

BGP to release Nayeek Razzak if Bangladesh takes 544 boat-people

Teknaf, Bangladesh: The Burmese Border Guard Police (BGP) will release Nayeek Abdur Razzak who was abducted by BGP on June 17, if the Bangladesh Government receives the 544 boat-people who are now being provided shelter in Maungdaw Township, the BGB Battalion No.42 Commander Lt Col Abu Zar Al Zahid said.
