My own research work on endangered people has also shown that they are the most persecuted people in our time. More than a million people in Myanmar from the Muslim minority are currently stateless, and genocidal violence in the country’s west has put nearly 140,000 of them in internment camps.

Red alert along the Bangladesh-Burma border; three unexploded mortar shells recovered

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have been put on high alert along the Bangladesh-Burma border since May 11 shelling and recovered three unexploded shells on May 13, according to Col. Habibur Rahman, Bandarban BGB  17, Sector Commander.
