Japan donates $2 million for Burmese refugees in Bangladesh

The Government of Japan provided Emergency Grant Aid of US$2 million to support the displaced Rohingya people where an estimated 74,000 people crossed the border from Burma and living in Bangladesh since October 2016, according UN website.

Keep Bangladesh-Burma border open: UNHCR

United Nations’ refugee agency UNHCR has urged Bangladesh to keep Bangladesh – Burma border open to allow safe passage to civilians fleeing the violence in the northern Arakan (Rakhine) state, according to the UNHCR website.
